The State Enterprise of the Ministry of Defence has passed the demanding certification procedure DIN 2303:2007-Q2 BK1 for welding of armoured equipment, which opens the way to potential production and repair of Western-made armoured equipment.
As part of the certification, the enterprise had to establish the most stringent standards and measures in the field of welding, including subsequent associated work, and thus demonstrate a high capability to produce the most demanding products of the defence industry. By obtaining this certificate, the company has joined a small club of highly erudite and qualified suppliers in the global defence industry who hold this certificate.
In the future, the company will be able to repair and weld, for example, Leopard 2 tank turrets or various military armoured vehicles that require the highest standards for their manufacture and repair.
The company is currently working to upgrade its qualification to Q3 (DIN 2303:2007-Q3 BK1). This certification is granted by only one authority and that is the German Bundeswehr.
