Defense Minister Jaromír Zůna visited the state-owned enterprise VOP CZ today, which is based in Šenov near Nový Jičín. He met with the company’s management and toured the industrial facilities.
“The state-owned enterprise VOP is holding its own against stiff competition from private firms and is successfully consolidating its position. It has secured a share in several key contracts, not only for the Czech Army, and is looking to the future. Within a single month, significant progress has been made on some of the company’s long-standing issues. This has created a solid foundation for the company’s future years. The people who work here are dedicated and represent the hidden strength necessary for its further development,” commented Defense Minister Jaromír Zůna on the visit.
“One example of how the company is thinking about the future and the next generation of experts is VOP CZ’s long-term cooperation with schools. For example, we organize an experiential career day for schools called ‘Job Jump VOP,’ where we showcase the appeal of working at our company,” said VOP CZ Director Vlastimil Navrátil.
