Through this program, VOP CZ aims to reach out even more effectively to former and current members of the Czech Armed Forces who are considering a career change. The company offers them the opportunity to apply their experience and knowledge from the military world and to continue working in an environment closely related to the military.
“Such employees are worth their weight in gold to us. They are highly disciplined, hardworking people with knowledge of military technology and the military environment. The program is aimed primarily at soldiers who served as specialists in various fields, ranging from drivers and auto mechanics to IT specialists,” said Zdenka Brettschneiderová, head of the HR department.
As part of the New Mission program, the company offers participants support in finding the optimal job position within the company, the possibility of retraining, and mentoring from experienced colleagues. Former military personnel can thus find employment in both manufacturing and administrative positions. In the future, for example, they may participate in the maintenance and repair of CV90 armored vehicles and Leopard 2A4 tanks for the Czech Army, work on the production of military weldments, or get involved in other projects of the Military Repair Enterprise.
VOP CZ currently employs several dozen former members of the Czech Armed Forces across the entire company. Those interested can learn more about the New Mission program directly at NATO Days, where VOP CZ will have a booth, or at New Mission | VOP CZ, s.p.
